Know About Panic Attacks

A common part of life that affects many people is panic attacks. From some people in today’s stressful and busy world an anxiety panic attack symptom is a normal part of life unfortunately. Panic attacks and depression can occur simultaneously and even go hand-in-hand. This makes it really difficult for the individual to lead the life normally and undertake tasks required for daily routine.

This is a serious condition wherein the patient has to undergo a lot of trauma and emotional problems. In fact, the person suffering from this disease is constantly under a threat of the panic situation attacking him at any point of his life.

One out of every three Americans suffers from some sort of panic or anxiety disorders according to many sources. As the demands of life in the global economy become strenuous and harmful this number in steadily rising.

The symptoms that a person experiences during a panic attack are very specific and powerful. People who have suffered through at least one will recognize the symptoms the very moment that they start to occur - and the fear of "the next panic attack" can sometimes aggravate the effort to completely cure those attacks.

The following symptoms are very severe:

• Racing heartbeat
• Very difficult to breathe - a feeling of suffocating
• Overwhelming terror and feeling like you're about to die.
• Nervous shaking
• Dizziness and lightheaded - sometimes with nausea
• Sweating, hot flashes, and chills
• Chest pain and sometimes choking
• Tingling in fingers and toes

The attack will begin with sweating, difficulty breathing, dizziness, and other minor symptoms. These symptoms build, and within about two minutes, the panic attack will peak.

Most people live with this condition without even knowing about what is happening to them while some are too embarrassed to talk about it or even admit it. People who are serious about dealing with this condition must work towards it seriously. There is a lot to do on the part of the patient in this regard.

If one has the will power and the strength to overcome the anxiety and panic attacks, it is easy to cope up with this condition. The good news is that yes, one can combat this disease.
